International Mixed Ability Sports (IMAS) and Iruña Rugby Club hosted a presentation for potential sponsors at ‘Casa del Deporte’ in Pamplona, to unveil the details of next year’s International Mixed Ability Rugby Tournament (IMART), and related activities.
The event, supported by the Navarre Government and the Institute for Sport of Navarre, saw the participation of local authorities, sponsors, community groups and many more stakeholders that will be crucial to deliver a truly inclusive, global, sporting event. Amongst the other attendees, the Fundación Flutter, Smurfit Westrock, the Chamber of Commerce of Navarra, third sector organisations such as Tasubinsa and Anfas, as well as the Miguel Indurain Foundation, the Fundación Baskonia-Alaves and the Fundación la Caixa.
This was the opportunity to outline the itinerary of the week, with Mixed Ability events in men’s and women’s rugby (IMART), rowing, basketball, floor curl and a series of educational workshops, clinics as well as an international conference. The event will see the participation of more than 1200 players with and without disability from 22 countries and represents an incredible opportunity for the community of Navarre to lead the promotion of equity, inclusion and social innovation through sport across the world.

A legacy that works for all those who share the Mixed Ability vision and want to become champions of social change in our communities. We need every bit of help to make the event a success, and this includes, sponsors, volunteers, families, and all those who believe they have the time, energy and commitment to building a better society!”.
